Job 10:9 Remember that you moldest me like Clay, NIV
Psalms 139:13, For You did form my inward parts; You did knit me together in my mother’s womb.
Sometimes we question ourselves, what am I here for? Why did you create me Lord? What is my purpose? What is your plan for me?
You were created with a plan and a purpose to glorify the Lord.
Jeremiah 29:11 For I know the thoughts and plans that I have for you, says the Lord, thoughts and plans for welfare and peace and not for evil, to give you hope in your future.
God create you in His image Genesis 1:27 So God created man in His own image, in the image and likeness of God He created him; male and female He created them.
He knitted you in the womb, crafted every detail like weaving a basket and crafted your innermost parts, including your precious heart.
God wants to mold you into a beautiful, perfect person, but we have to be willing to let him. Obedience, did you say? He didn’t make a mistake when he made you but when sin came in, it cracks the foundation, the clay.
Questions that come from a Cracked foundation; I’m not good enough. Why would he use me? Does he really love me? These questions and others is the enemy’s tactics to question your image in Christ, Who you are IN HIM!
We need to cast down ever negative thought, because God never changes, He is an everlasting God.
2 Corinthians 10:5 Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ;
The Mold represents you; He didn’t make a mistake
God made you from the dust of the earth.
Pottery Example:
1) The potter takes a glob of clay and places it on the wheel. He uses water to soft the clay making it pliable. The water represents the Holy Spirit
2) The potter using his foot making the wheel turn round and round. You are the clay, God is the potter, He can and will turn your situations around.
3) He uses his hands to mold you, create a master piece. He made no mistakes creating you. He wants you to trade in your sorrows, pain, wounds for life of prosperity, love, compassion, bondage free life.
4) Once the piece is finished, the master piece is put into a keel, representing His refining Fire. God said he wants to refine you better than Gold and Silver. Sometimes we can get ourselves in a fiery situation. Satan wants to turn up the heat, making things look worse than they are. Remember Satan has come to steal, kill, and destroy. He is an imitator of the real thing. No truth is in him.
Remember Shadrack, Meshach, and Abednego? Daniel 3:16-18 Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego replied to him, “King Nebuchadnezzar, we do not need to defend ourselves before you in this matter. 17 If we are thrown into the blazing furnace, the God we serve is able to deliver us from it, and he will deliver us from Your Majesty’s hand. 18 But even if he does not, we want you to know, Your Majesty, that we will not serve your gods or worship the image of gold you have set up.
Fire didn’t change their trust in God. Once you come out, God’s covenant radiates from you. Once the pottery comes out of the keel it has an array of colors unseen to the human eye. When you seek Him and Trust Him, making yourself pliable, He WILL do exceedingly, abundantly, above ALL you could ask, think or image. Shining, radiant, illuminating from the fire, the light of God, no darkness is in you. You have been refined.
He wants to mold, create you into his masterpiece and prosper you in every arena of your life. He has a plan and purpose for you; let him mold you into that person.
Jeremiah 18:2-7 Amp
2Arise and go down to the potter’s house, and there I will cause you to hear My words.
3Then I went down to the potter’s house, and behold, he was working at the wheel.
4And the vessel that he was making from clay was spoiled in the hand of the potter; so he made it over, reworking it into another vessel as it seemed good to the potter to make it.
5Then the word of the Lord came to me:
6O house of Israel, can I not do with you as this potter does? says the Lord. Behold, as the clay is in the potter’s hand, so are you in My hand, O house of Israel.
7At one time I will suddenly speak concerning a nation or kingdom, that I will pluck up and break down and destroy it;
Jeremiah 29:11 For I know the thoughts and plans that I have for you, says the Lord, thoughts and plans for welfare and peace and not for evil, to give you hope in your final outcome.
